The proposed 6G spectrum beyond 5G that ranges from 100 gigahertz to 3 terahertz is higher frequency than current 4G and 5G spectrums, and could enable applications outside what we often consider wireless communication technology applications. According to Vodafone, 5G promises device speeds around 10 times faster than 4G, meaning high-quality, ultra-high resolution 4K video calls - the standard used for commercial digital cinema - downloads will be delivered even quicker to smartphones and tablets. Data transfer of less than 20 milliseconds will be standard.

The future of 6G wireless could be closer than you think. An idea that was once considered science fiction, is now closer to becoming a reality thanks to Northeastern professors who have successfully tested a method that could allow telecommunication providers to move beyond 5G and into higher bandwidths. “2.4GHz is so much better than 5GHz for the smart home because it provides longer coverage and [goes through] walls more strongly. 2.4 is perfect!” says Wesly Lin, a former TP-Link engineer
If China remains the leading purveyor of 5G technology, they can dominate the development of standards that drive the technology and control much of the manufacturing supporting 6G. China is
The 5G lie: The network of the future is still slow. We speed tested 5G phones against 4G ones. America’s new nationwide 5G networks weren’t much faster — and in some places they were slower
